OUR CLIENT INTERVIEW POLICY.
- PREAMBLE
Amas &Rhod Law is a registered law firm situated in Lagos Nigeria with RC 3661567. We are a registered member of the Nigerian Bar Association Lagos Branch.
At Amas & Rhod Law, we believe that legal matters should be handled with professionalism, due diligence, and respect. We are committed to providing a welcoming environment where our clients feel safe, heard, and supported.
Whether your interview takes place in person, over the phone, or online, our goal is to make the process as clear and comfortable as possible. To provide accurate legal guidance and representation, we may need to ask certain questions during your interview. These questions are not meant to pry into your private life, they are asked only to help us understand your situation fully and determine the best course of action for you. - What to Expect During Your Interview
During our conversation, we may explore the following areas depending on the nature of your case:
2.1 Personal Identification Details
Example: full name, nationality, date of birth, NIN, or proof of identity. We will ask you to provide any two (2) proof of ID.
This may be your NIN, International Passport, Voters card, National ID card, Tax Identification number, etc.
2.2 Previous Legal Advice or History
— including whether you have taken advice on this matter or similar matters before and the outcome (if any).
2.3 Marital or Relationship Status
— single, married, separated, divorced, widowed, etc.
2.4 Family or Dependants — such as children or any persons relying on your care or financial support.
2.5 Housing Situation
— whether you rent, own, live with family, or are in temporary accommodation. Where relevant, we may ask about tenancy agreements, mortgage details, or length of stay.
2.6 Employment or Business Activities
— including employer or business name, job role, or self-employment details.
2.7 Income and Financial Position
— main income sources and any additional earnings or financial support.
2.8 Assets or Property Ownership
— vehicles, land, savings, pensions, life insurance, or other items of value if relevant to your case.
2.9 Health or Special Circumstances (with your permission)
— such as diagnosed conditions, therapy, medication, addictions, disabilities, or communication needs (e.g. larger print, audio recordings, or third-party assistance).
2.10 Desired Outcome
-- whether the outcome you desire is feasible or not. Advice and reasons will be provided where not feasible
2.11 Emergency or Time-Sensitive Concerns
— where urgent advice or action is required for your legal protection or safety.
2.12 Future Changes You Anticipate
— such as relocation, income changes, separation, or business restructuring.
2.13 Agreed Actions and Next steps
- outlined actions agreed with you and the next steps following exploration and interview stage
NOTE:
You are free to decline any question you are not comfortable answering. We will always explain why a response to a question is necessary before proceeding. - Confidentiality and Consent
3.1 All information you provide is treated with strict confidentiality under professional legal ethics and attorney–client privilege.
3.2 We will ask for your consent to collect and store your information in our secured database, and to share your information where required for referrals.
3.3 We will request your consent through any of your preferred methods of communication (phone, email, WhatsApp, etc.), understanding that digital communication may not be 100% secure. - Our Opening Hours
4.1 We operate remotely (via telephones, emails and website) and face to face within the hours of 10AM - 4PM, Mondays to Fridays.
4.2 We operate a 24 hour emergency opening hours for emergencies only, strictly by email. - Our Contact details

Amas & Rhod Law is authorised and regulated by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Corporate Affairs Commission, and the Ministry of Justice. If at any point you are dissatisfied with the service you receive from us, please raise your grievance (s) with us in the first instance so that we can address it promptly and professionally.
Kindly note: That, we take all complaints seriously and view them as part of our commitment to accountability and continuous improvement.
If we are unable to resolve your concern (s) internally, you may escalate your complaint to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA Lagos Branch) for independent investigation and review.
