OUR RETAINER POLICY

  1. Background
    Amas & Rhod Law is a full-service legal practice dedicated to providing strategic, result-oriented legal solutions across key sectors of law.

    Our firm has consistently acted as trusted advisors to individuals, families, and corporate entities. In recognition of the increasing demand for ongoing legal support that is structured, predictable, and proactive rather than reactive, our firm offers a Retainer Model designed to give clients priority access to legal guidance whenever needed.
  2. What We Have Done
    Amas & Rhod Law has provided consistent legal advisory services and contract review support to individuals and businesses across our focus areas of Maritime, Entertainment, Family, Property, and Immigration Law.

    Our work has included:
    ● Drafting and reviewing commercial and personal agreements to ensure legal compliance and protect client interests.
    ● Providing legal guidance on personal, transactional, and business-related decisions. ● Offering preliminary legal opinions to help clients assess risks before proceeding with commitments.
    ● Representation of corporate and individual clients at ADR meetings.
    ● Advocating on behalf of clients at police stations and courts.
  3. How We Can Help (Scope of Retainer Services
    Under our retainer arrangement, Amas & Rhod Law shall provide consistent and continuous legal support, which may include:
    ● General Advisory & Consultation on issues relating to Maritime, Entertainment, Family, Property, or Immigration Law.
    ● Contract Drafting, Review, and Negotiation to ensure clients enter into fair, enforceable, and advantageous agreements.
    ● Regulatory Compliance & Legal Documentation
    ● Representation in Administrative and Pre-Litigation Matters (litigation may be covered under a separate fee structure if required).
    ● Due Diligence, Documentation Management & Legal Opinion Preparation
    ● Periodic Legal Updates relevant to the client’s industry or situation.

    Please note: That any requests outside this scope will be treated as out-of-scope services and billed separately, subject to mutual agreement.
  4. Retainer Structure
    Our retainer structure is flexible and can be tailored based on the client’s needs:
    ● Retainer Fee: Payable monthly, quarterly, or annually.
    ● Coverage: Includes a defined number of monthly consultation hours, casework, which may include letter writing, drafting, reviews, police station
    visits, ADR meetings and other related matters agreed within the retainer contract.
    ● Out-of-Scope Work: Charged at agreed professional rates.
    ● Duration: Retainers run for a minimum of three (3) to twelve (12) months, renewable upon mutual agreement.
    ● Charges: our bill of charges shall be agreed with our client depending on scope of works to be covered during the duration of the retainer
    ● Termination: Either party may terminate the retainer upon written notice, subject to agreed notice period.
  5. Types of Fee Agreement At Amas & Rhod Law
    we take pride in the satisfaction of our clients with the services we offer. As a result, we operate different fee structures to make it suitable for our clients to access Legal advice without hassle.

    We have four (4) types of fee arrangements;
    ● Conditional and Contingency Fee arrangement
    ● Success Fee arrangement
    ● Damages based arrangements
